5-day auction ending Monday, November 24th at 7pm (Pacific)Normally, when I sell a member of my collection, the written description process resembles more of a short novel with lengthy paragraphs talking about each and every detail. Although I would enjoy doing that for my Tahoe, it simply isn't necessary. Four or five sentences and the photo lay-out would cover it. The only needed information is this:-It's an outstanding original example in spectacular condition--68,560 actual, documented miles--Meticulously maintained by both owners--Never damaged or smoked in--The nicest I've ever seen and I collect them-Now, I know that I can't get off that easy but there really isn't much to say other than the 5 lines above. Purchased new in Stockton California and brought here to the Pacific Northwest by the original owner. I have the factory window sticker, all manuals and brochures from day-one. I even have the business card from the salesman at Chase Chevrolet. The first owner had two homes and would often be away from his home here for months and occasionally a year at a time. The Tahoe hibernated in-doors untouched. He eventually passed the torch to a neighbor in 2009 when the odometer reading was 44,000. They put just over 24,000 miles on it during their ownership. I purchased directly from the 2nd owner and added her to my collection this year. Technically, I would be the 3rd owner although it's just sat in my garage with the rest of my kids. I have enjoyed driving it on nice days. She runs and drives like new. Not even a shake or vibration of any kind. Absolutely everything functions perfectly. Each and every switch, knob and button operates as intended without exception. The 4-wheel-drive engages perfectly. Options such as power windows, mirrors, door locks (with 2 remotes for keyless entry), power seat, heat/AC system, cruise control, compass in rear view, etc, all work like new. The original leather seats are still glove-soft and in excellent condition. All of the interior is beautiful. Carpet, headliner, door panels, rear side panels and dashboard look near new. Even the cargo area is extremely nice. The body and paint condition is nothing short of amazing. The original, factory applied Indigo Blue finish holds a shine that you can see yourself in. There are no dents, scratches or blemishes worth mentioning. One tiny door-ding (close-up photo provided below) the size of a #2 pencil eraser is all that requires documenting. This really is one of the nicest you will find. Recent vintage car purchases have caused space in my large garage to get a bit tight. I doubt very much that I will ever come across a finer 2 door Tahoe in the future but I need the room. The upcoming photos should do a superb job of showing her true condition. Thanks for your time, DAVE > At some point my comments will sound like a broken record but I don't like leaving things to someones imagination. The exterior condition and appearance are gorgeous. The paint is 100% factory original. There are NO clearcoat issues, tarnish or fading on any of the outside surfaces. All body moldings and trim, both chrome bumpers, lights, grille, emblems, etc, are excellent and depict the condition of 2 or 3 year old components, not 18. Every piece of glass is crystal clear and free of blemishes. The interior also deserves to be bragged about. Even the rubber floor mats front and rear are original and like new. Notice how straight the digits align. This is the total miles traveled since purchased new. No gauge cluster replacement, no mileage adjustments or unhooked speedometer cables. Simply 68,560 original and accurate miles. I did NOT take a pressure washer or steam cleaner to the engine compartment. A light wipe-down only. Always well maintained and pampered. Please note: Due to the high shine and gloss the paint holds, reflections are easy to see. Debris in the road, trees and fences off in the distance, etc. Some may appear like flaws. They are not. Study the pictures closely. The tiny ding I disclosed previously. The only one of it's kind. That's me holding the camera and the other reflections I mentioned. I added the lower body shots to remind myself to mention that she doesn't have any road-rash even on these lower panels The factory alloy wheels are bright and free of tarnish. The tires were installed exactly 4000 miles ago. Collectibility isn't solely based on age. Many other factors come into play. She deserves to be with the rest. Has remained in 100% stock configuration with the exception of the upgraded stereo. It is iPod, USB and satellite ready. I have an original unit that comes with. Spare tire cover is in the original case. I am aware of no issues. Extremely well cared for and maintained since new. Starts and runs beautifully. Crisp response and impressive power. I have discovered no drips on my garage floor. I'm unable to predict the future but I have absolutely no concerns with any mechanical components. Yes, the engine compartment retractable work light functions. NEVER exposed to a salted road. The undersides are excellent. I'm hoping that my appreciation for this Tahoe is contagious and that your impression is fully formed by now. It is simply outstanding. Finding them in this condition is becoming all but impossible.
