This is a true barn find that was stored for 26 years. All matching numbers and the engine has never been out of the vehicle. This is as complete as they get, everything is original down to the hubcaps. The body: Left quarter panel has rust behind the wheel well. Battery compartment is rusted as all older Fords do. All other body panels are solid with only slight surface rust in a few spots Floor pans are solid with a couple of pin holes. Trunk pan is solid. Fuel tank is beyond repair, it will need to be replaced. All chrome is in tact and not beat up. Windshield is cracked, all other glass is perfect. Original reverse chrome hub caps in great condition. Bumpers are not beat up. The drivetrain: Original 289 4V runs, everything is original on the engine, all parts are date coded c5. Still has the factory chrome valve covers and breather but needs rechroming. Toploader 4 speed shifts through the gears and seems to be functioning properly. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt a the accelerator pump is bad and will not let the car run above idle. Brakes need going through since its been sitting however it will stop without pumping. Radiator seems to be hold coolant. The interior: Carpet is gone. Front seats are in good shape and could use a cleaning. Rear seats will need reupholstering. Headliner is ripped. Dash pad needs attention. Door panels are there but need replacing. Console is in great shape, lid opens and closes perfectly. Rare Rally Pack gauge cluster with 8000 tach, vacuum gauge, and elapsed time clock. With a fuel tank, battery, carb rebuild, and going through the brakes, this could be back on the road. It's a great project car that could be driven while worked on. Gas Monkey could have it perfect in a week. Only 12,347 Cyclones were produced in 1965 and very few had the Rally Pack. There are a lot of Fairlanes and Galaxies out there but not many of these, especially as original and unmolested as this one. It even has the original trunk and ignition keys. It will come with a bill of sale only, in GA anything pre-1985 does't need a title. The title has been long. The spots in the pictures are where the paint has come off, not rust, the rust is evident in the left quarter picture Please feel free to ask any questions.
