For sale is a 1949 Chevrolet thriftmaster 3600 pickup truck. These trucks are getting hard to come across and to find up for sale. This one needs some work, but could easily be fixed to be a weekend driver with the old cool look. Or being that it is a complete truck this would also make a great start to restore it back to new condition. This truck is a inline 6cyl, with manual transmission with the shifter on the column. It is an original ¾ truck with 8 lug wheels. I think the rear in has been changed because I think it originally had the closed drive shaft and it does not now. The truck has a hydraulic dump bed that works. It has a cool engine driven hydraulic pump with two cylinders to raise the truck bed. The truck DOES start up and run and does drive but either the clutch need adjusted or replaced. The brakes do not work. This truck has been sitting for 4 years since it was last driven regularly on the road. I do have the title in hand. Delivery is available also. The truck is located in Smithsburg md 21783.
