Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that is a one owner vehicle. Vehicle was originally purchased at Bud Eyre Chevrolet in Ridgecrest, California. The vehicle has been in Bakersfield, California since 1971. The mileage of 76,899 at the time of this posting is the original mileage. Vehicle has an automatic transmission, 350 CID engine, 4 bolt main, 4 bbl Rochester carburetor, power steering, power front disk brakes and original Delco air conditioning.Vehicle was repainted with Sikkens paint approximately 15 years ago. The vinyl top was also replaced at that time. Both the front and rear bumpers were also rechromed. This is a family vehicle and is kept in the garage. It has resided in the same county for the entire time of owner ship. A true California car. Vehicle has NEVER been in a wreck. Vehicle has aftermarket cruise control that works great. An aftermarket Kenwood cassette player was installed, but the factory AM radio is available. The rear 6x9 inch oval speaker in the package tray is intact, but the stereo is not connected to it. The dash has some discoloration, but no cracks. The clock no longer works. The steering wheel has a crack at the top, but is original to the vehicle. The front seat bottom has a small hole about 1/2 inch on the passenger side. There is some fabric separation on the right side of the seat back where the fabric attaches to the vinyl side. Some light fading to the seats. It is the original upholstery and carpet. There is a small area at the front of the hood that has a few pits. Both the left and right headlamp doors have a few minor rock chips. The back glass does have a few pits to the center area. A small light surface scratch and a very small paint chip is on the left quarter panel. A minor door ding is on the right door. Wheel opening moldings do have some minor pitting consistent with the age of the vehicle. There is no damage, whatsoever to the headliner. A vapor-jet methanol water vapor injector system featuring the famous Trevaskis system was installed some years ago. The original chassis service manual comes with the vehicle. A case of Bardahls will also come with the vehicle. As the engine has a 10:1 compression ratio and most gas today does not have a high octane content, the Bardahls is necessary to compensate for the lower octane of today's fuels. This vehicle runs great and has no known mechanical defects. New license plates were added as personalized plates from the 1970's were taken off the vehicle. I have attempted to disclose and describe this vehicle as accurately as possible. Please email me with any questions. Buyer will pay for/arrange any pick up and/or delivery. NO RESERVE.
