1981 Pontiac Trans Am. Non original engine. This car was born with a 301 cu small Pontiac V8. It now has a 1978/79 Pontiac 400 engine. It has a mild cam. unknown miles on engine. Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, aluminum intake manifold. Heads are the 6X casting that came on the 1978-79 W72 cars. Engine is in good running condition. 4 speed manual transmission. Hurst T handle. Shifts good. Posi rear end with Lakewood traction bars. 4 wheel disc brakes. The base of the shaker hood scoop is gone. Body condition: The car was originally blue. Solid trunk pan, solid rocker panels, solid floors. Little rust in rear quarters and some bubbles on the lower front fenders and some small ones on the doors. The lower grills on the nose are missing. Paint has chips, nicks, dings, scratches. Interior is still blue (dark blue). Drivers seat is ripped. Carpet is wore. Dash pad has cracks. No radio. Gauges seem to all work. Fan blower motor works on low and med setting when I last tried it. Tach works. Lights work. The tilt steering column has a broken part inside. There is a lot of side to side play in the tilt area. I have another good column to include to fix it. 15x7 Snowflake rims. I bought this car to completely strip down and repaint. I was going to stay with the Smokey and the Bandit theme as the car is now. It has all the key things you'd want in a Trans am. Pontiac 400-4 speed, Posi rear, T-tops, 4 wheel disc. It runs and drives but would recommend trailering it due to the steering column issue. Clear WI title Reserve is very low. Priced to sell!
