I bought this car in October 2011 and have little history prior to purchase. I did have some work done at the time of purchase and my mechanic found that the transmission is either not original to the car or has been rebuilt, though it never was a problem and runs great. We stopped driving the car when the speed sensor went out and finally have decided to sell it. My mechanic says all the work and parts should cost less than a $1,000. The car has been well maintained in my care and should run another 150,000 miles according to my mechanic. The headlights were updated prior to my purchasing and the car still has the built in trunk toolkit. One of the BMW emblems is missing from one of the tire rims, but they sell for about $1.00 on eBay.
