1962 International Harvester Scout, 4 cylinder 3-speed manual 4x4 with PTO and dual fuel tanks. Older amateur restoration, I see no rust or rot on this truck. The body and floors seem very solid with minor dents/dings. I ran a magnet all over the body and did not find one area the magnet wouldn't strongly stick. Underside of floors and frame look very nice and clean, no rust or issues that I noticed. Paint is older and faded but not awful. White top was painted and has a lot of runs but solid. Doors have the sliding windows, removable frames. If I remember correctly the bottom of the driver door does have a little rust. Tailgate and rear lift window are very nice. The motor sounds great and has no leaks. The previous owner replaced the original carb with a new Carter (have original) carb and added a electric fuel pump. Radiator looks new as does distributor cap and wires. Starts and runs great, I drove it home 20 miles and it ran great, cruised along at 45. Slight vibration, maybe u-joints? As I got close to home I noticed the clutch was closer to the floor and hard to get in gear, need adjustment? Previous owner ran a new exhaust pipe and muffler. I don't know where the speedo cable goes into the transmission but am wondering if they removed it run the pipe. Leaks a little fluid there. Therefore actual mileage is unknown. Wire harness from Jegs was installed at some point in its life. Gauges work intermittedly. Headlights, taillights, brake lights and signals all work as they should. The interior is nice and clean, all metal areas including the bed have been painted a gray color. The carpet is glued down but the floors are very solid and look great underneath. Newer seats have been put in. Still has the vacuum wipers, both work, passenger side works really good, driver side is a little weak. Bed is solid. I have a extra set of doors with windows that roll down and are decent. Need some work and the paint looks original. They are red. I have an extra windshield frame with glass, rear window piece of glass and a front end piece. I also have the original carb. I also have some original pear work from 1962, the line ticket, sales invoice from IH and owners manual. Overall great clean solid truck, all good glass and complete. Great project.I bought the truck as it sits. I purchased 2 trucks at the same time and am selling this one. Please ask any questions before bidding i will answer all questions as accurately as I can. As old as the paint work is there is no bubbles or filler popping through. There is some cracks in the paint where the panels come together. ThanksOn Nov-10-14 at 19:20:41 PST, seller added the following information: Don't know much about these trucks so I did a little research on the clutch/pedal issue I described in the original description. Checked clutch slave cylinder and the fluid was low. The hard lines look newer but there may be a leak somewhere which could explain the clutch pedal being soft.
