I have for sale a rare Studebaker Avanti R2. Body number rq3268. Chassis number r4328. Engine number rd2395. It is a barn find. It is need of restoration. But it still is a 1963 Avanti. Last year these where made in the Studebaker plant. It comes with a nice collection of newer and new old stock parts. If you are looking for that R2 on a budget. This could be for you. We will start with what I can tell you. The original supercharger has been removed. It is in the trunk. It is in rough shape. It is for a core or rebuild. The car does run. But it runs rough and will need a tune up. The last time the car was registered was 2005. The ignition is not original and we bypassed it to run it. Not a big deal a new one can be ad cheap. The car was repainted at one point. It will need to be done again. There is a small hole in the body near the left front of the hood. It is an inch long and just about a finger nail thick. The fiberglass under the battery was patched at one point. The torque boxes will need some work. They are both gone at the rear wheels and the passenger side has a 3 inch hole in it. The interior needs work. Allot of cleaning and a new rug, would go a long way here. The windshield is cracked. The passenger door latch sticky. The truck latch is missing. the driver seat has rotted away from the floor at the center console mounting points. Like I said it is rough. But is is pretty much original. The new parts that come with this car alone add significant value. New old stock supercharger. New old stock pulleys, belts and spring tensioner. New old stock intake. Newer air box and hoses.
