Up for auction we have a 1997 Dodge Ram Van 2500 3/4 ton cargo van. This van was purchased new by a local school district to be used as a maintenace van and was just replaced with a new one. I am the second owner and the van was purchased from them in August. Has a 3.9 v6 with an auto trans. 106,390 on the clock. Runs, drives, stops, brakes feel soft to me but they do feel consistant with every Dodge van I've driven, so I would say they are ok. Tires are like new with lots of tread. I have only driven it around a lot but everything seems ok. Catalytic converter does rattle a little bit, but since this van is a 3/4 ton it can be emissions exempt. No cluster lights on. Underside looks good. Body does have some extremely minor rust. The passenger's fender has a minor dent, rear bumper is dented, and the grille has a piece missing (please see pics- all very minor stuff that can be found at your local junk yard for under $100 if you are picky.) The van has shelves and a locking partition in the back. Would be excellent for a contractor, roadside assistance, flea market vendor, swap meets, craft shows, delivery van, etc, the possibilities are endless! The van is currently out of inspection. Battery is a little weak, if the reserve is met I will throw in a good battery (possibly brand new!) Original sticker, manual, etc are in the glove box. Van is extremely clean. Van is also for sale locally, so the auction may end at any time. Inspections are welcome, van is located at 55 Main St Bally PA 19503.
