Vehicle Detail
I took this car in trade 5 year ago with the intention of fixing it up as a fun driver. The previous owner was a teenager that wanted to be a racer. He installed a Holley electric fuel pump, gutted the interior and air conditioning, and attemped to go fast. Instead he washed down the cylinders with fuel causing the motor to quit. He pulled and disassempled the motor before realizing that he did not know what to do next. I installed a 454 with an Edelbrock intake, Holley 700 double pumper, Hooker Competition headers heat wrapped and DSE aluminum subframe bushings and DSE welded in subframe connectors. The car is an original Southern California 350 engine/turbo 350 automatic trans car. It has power steering, power brakes, and originally it came with air conditioning but has a Classic Industries AC cover over the heater core. The original bench seat is long gone with 80' camaro buckets in its place. The car was originally Cortez Silver with black interior. It has been repainted, but due to the local hard water could use a good cleaning and polish. The interior needs to be completely replaced. The headliner is missing, but the bows are still there. Some of the interior parts have been painted Saddle color to try and give the interior a color other than black. There is no carpet in the car. The car is an original column shift, but the camaro horse shoe shifter comes with the car if the new owner wants it. The car has rust in the dash at the base of the windshield like many other Novas of this year. The glass is the car is complete, but there are many scratches. The car has the original 14" steel wheels painted the color of the body. Unknown rear gears, but I would guess 3.08. The car runs and drives with a clean California title. It is currently registered. Please ask questions about the vehicle. It will need some work to make it a great little car, but it has potential. I have the original numbers matching 350 ci motor that is available with the car if the new owner wants it. It is just the block, heads, crank, and intake and will need a complete rebuild.
