Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1984 Camaro Z28. Car is white with an off white / gray interior. Cloth seats with manual everything: windows, seat adjustment, locks, and factory heater but no A/C. Car is all original, the exception being the shocks and springs. It has the carb'd 305 with a 5 speed, and runs / drives flawlessly. New springs and shocks put in a little more than a year ago. Around 3,000.00 of brand new parts that I had purchased for another 3rd gen and decided to install in this one. Tokico adjustable shocks all the way around and a weight jack system with new springs to allow you to raise / lower the height of the car with a wrench to tailor the performance or style to your liking. The car also has a brand new stock muffler and discs put on about a year ago as well. Everything else is totally stock and in good condition. The paint and body are at about 90%. It has the factory paint but there are some minor spots where the paint is starting to rub off. It has one small spot underneath the driver's door handle and a few "slivers" on the hood around the black louvers. Hardly noticeable but they are there. Outside is free of rust, however there is some rust underneath the hood, with the worst spot being on the bottom front lip of the hood near the spring latch. That is the only rust spot that would need attention, although it is not noticeable with the hood closed, obviously. The interior is in similar condition to the outside. Everything is stock and is in great shape, but the car is 30 years old and it's not perfect. There are some scratches in some of the plastics, especially in the back seat and trunk areas. The car has a power antennae and the stock radio with cassette player, and everything works. The horn was recently disabled by an overzealous guy at the car wash when I had it detailed. A small metal tab underneath the horn button on the steering wheel was bent off. The hot wire for the horn attaches to this and so obviously it needs to be fixed. Currently I just wrapped some electrical tape around the connector on the hot wire so that the horn wouldn't keep going off and put the horn button back on. It's obviously a very easy fix but I just don't have time to mess with the car right now. The price will be adjusted accordingly. This is the only real issue with the car, other than that it's in perfect turn key running and driving condition, it has always passed VA state inspection and is currently inspected. Those are all of the problems with the car that I can think of. The camaro runs very smoothly, and because of the upgraded suspension has a very glass like ride. Very fun to drive and a practical every day car as it has been very well maintained and is very reliable. I would prefer local buyers so that you could come look the car over before you buy it but will allow anyone to purchase it, obviously. Asking price is 5000.00 OBO, buyer must handle shipping / transportation of vehicle and of course this car is being sold "as is."
