This is a complete car that needs FINISHED. An easy winter project for a lucky new owner!!! I'm selling my project.... PHS Documented Real 1965 GTO, 389 Tri power, Wide ratio 4 speed, 3.55 Safe-T-Track rear end. This car was originally Burgundy with Black interior. The car does not have the original 389 engine... It's been gone since the 60's. I got the car from the fella who owned it since 1972... this car has Racing history in the Detroit area. Had "The Sandman" on both sides when I stripped it. The current engine is a 1971-72 Pontiac 455CI (casting # 485428) .030 over bore 4 bolt main block (Very Rare) with new rebuilt 6X heads... BRAND NEW 9 months ago NEVER FIRED. I have an Original 1965 389-421 3x2 cast intake with good Original carbs.. no linkage tho, that I will offer to the winning bidder There are 2 Muncie 4 speed transmissions, (both M21"s) one needs rebuilt the other is still together. I have all the linkage & original Hurst Shifter. The Original 3.55 is replaced with a new 3.91 Safe-T-Track. Still retains all the original Glass in great condition, the dash is OK.. it has an aftermarket Sun Tack installed where the original Tack would be. I have the original center console and seats. I have upgraded the Front brakes to Drilled & Slotted Disc, All of the suspension is NEW.. bushings, shocks, springs. All new brake lines are installed and the frame has been blasted, epoxy primed & painted with black frame coat. The body will need some work in the floor braces, Trunk pan, tail light panel, wheel house area & some quarter panel work. I have NEW LH, RH quarter panels & outer wheel houses for it... also All New Floor braces & Trunk pan.... $1,000 in new metal. The Doors, fenders are perfect & ready for final prime, block & paint. inner fenders & core support are painted and ready for install. The hood & trunk lid will need primed & finished. I need to sell it... She's just taking up to much space!! I just sat the body back on the frame and took new pictures today. Check out the pics & BID TO WIN!!!
