Vehicle Detail
This 1963 Lincoln Continental Sedan is a great cruiser in Bermuda Blue, with original medium blue leather interior. The car has power seats, power door locks, power antenna and power windows. Also the blower works, all dash controls work well. The power antenna still works as does the AM radio and cigarette lighters. I've owned the car since 2007 and it's always been garage kept. It shows some signs of rust bubbles on the hood. The front left bumper has a scratch, right passenger door has a scratch. Overall the chrome is in good shape with no pitting, the headliner is in great shape. I shipped the car to Baker's Auto in Putnum CT. to have them work on the car since they are considered experts on this make and model. Google Bakers Auto. I spent $12,586.36 on the following repairs done at Bakers Auto by master Lincoln mechanics: Tune upPerformed compression checkChange plug wires cap and rotorReplaced alternator voltage regulatorInstalled rebuilt alternatorReplaced leaking trans cooling hosesReplace leaking vac advance and set timingCheck engine oil pressure (good)Replace dome lamp bulbs, courtesy light bulbs, backup light bulbsReplaced wiper bladesReplaced floor dimmer switchReplaced temp sending unitTightened RH outside indicator for proper groundingReplaced fuel tank vent hoseRemove and install parking brake assembly correctlyInstall missing park brake return springRemove valve covers clean straighten sandblast and paintInstalled valve covers with new gasketsDrained radiator and removedInstalled recorded radiator and rebuilt expansion tankReplaced leaking fuel pumpInstalled rebuilt fuel tank sending unitTurned front drums on lathe, clean and repack front wheel bearingsInstalled new wheel cylindersInstalled drums with new sealsInstalled hood insulationRemoved rear brake drums and turned on latheReplaced rear wheel cylinders and brake shoesReplaces rear shocksReplaced lower balljointsReplaced upper control arm bushing and front shocksReplaced sway bar link kitsReplaced strut arm bushingsReplaced motor mountsInstalled rebuilt steering pump and harmonic balancerReplaced worn universal joints in driveshaft and reinstalledRemoved trans valve body and replaced shift shaft seal O ringCleaned valve body and pan Replaced transmission mountsCleaned straightened and installed trans skid plateInstalled water junction blockReplaced battery cablesInstalled new radiator hosesReplaced fuel hosesReplaced steering fluid filterReplaces brake boosterCleaned and lubricated all window regulator springs and gearsRemoved master window switch panel and replaced bad switchesInstalled RH sideview mirrorRebuilt carboratorAs you can see the car has been through extensive mechanical work.
