2003 Ranger 4 wheel drive. 120,000 miles. Truck is in overall good condition. I lost coolant on recent trip and truck over heated. Engine light now flashes when truck is driven. THE GOOD : recently passed NY State inspection. New tires. both front hubs and wheel bearings replaced within the past yr. replaced both front sway bars with the past year, Rebuilt transmission installed Nov.2012 , neutral switch and tranny lines as well. As of last week: new upper and lower thermostat housing, all new hoses and serpentine belt, new clamps. The truck does run but I hear a miss. THE BAD: On a recent trip to Cincinnati I lost all cooling fluid on the highway. Truck over heated. I had it AAA towed to my sons house in Fairfield OH. Truck is there now. After shop re-installed coolant repairs the truck failed a block test. I said enough. It could be a blown head gasket, a warped head or a bad engine block. I suspect a head gasket or head but you should assume the worse and plan an engine rebuild or replacement. I live in NY State and the truck is in Fairfield. Too far away. No dome light. The air conditioner has not worked in 2 or 3 years. I've never checked to see why. Not hot enough in Buffalo NY. THE UGLY: There is minimal rust shown in the photo's. Mostly on the tailgate where this model is known for problems. The trailer ball in the receiver will not included in the sale. The truck blue books for $5-6000. Tires were $1000 and tranny $1200. I recommend towing it away unless you are brave and live close to Fairfield. I have a CLEAR NY State title in my name. It will be signed and sent to my son to hand over when full payment is received.
