Vehicle Detail
In order to give potential buyers as much visual information on the truck as possible, I am including some pictures here: Thanks to TWO RECENT NON-PAYING BIDDERS, this truck is back for sale! BONUS! FREE NEW AND UNOPENED IN BOX VIPER 350 HV SECURITY AND CONVENIENCE SYSTEM (MUST BE INSTALLED) ALL BIDDERS MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE WITH LEGAL CONTRACTUAL CAPACITY AND VALID GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PICTURE ID ORIGINAL SUPER-MAINTAINED 1999 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY SUPER CAB 4X4 WITH THE ORIGINAL GAS MOTOR TRITAN V-8. FRONT WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOW TINT HAS BEEN REMOVED AS IT WAS TOO DARK. A COUPLE PICTURES SHOW THE TRUCK WHEN THE TINT WAS STILL IN. WILL BE POSTING MORE PICTURES OF THE TRUCK WITHOUT THE TINT AND WITH THE NEW OPTIMA YELOW TOP BATTERY. Slight dent in tailgate, several minor scratches on body, front leather seat bottoms are worn (nice seat covers on now). Although this truck is an F-250, the previous owner put F-350 emblems on it when he was young, I guess to impress. In case anyone wonders, the ONLY difference between a F-250 and F-350 is that F-350 has a larger spacer under the rear leaf springs and slightly thicker frame rail. Stock F-250 and F-350 otherwise have the same springs, shocks, same frame except for the slight extra thickness of the F350 and the same body. F-350 has a slightly higher GVWR of 9900 in comparison to the F-250 GVWR of 8800. BUT, all things being equal (engine, trans, gear ratio) the stock F-250 has a HIGHER TOW RATING than F-350 probably due to the higher curb weight. So unless you plan to haul over 8800 pounds in the bed of the truck (who does that?) and prefer maximum tow rating, the F-250 is your best bet. I have F-250 replacement emblems and (2) BONUS Tritan V-8 emblems plus new Tritan V-8 decals ready to go on. I have removed the F-350 emblem on the tailgate. The TN plate has been replaced with the current NM license plate. In 2012 I bought this truck to move furniture. It has always been a consistent workhorse for me. THIS TRUCK HAS OVER $8,000.00 WORTH OF MODIFICATIONS AND UPGRADES ALONE and I have many of the receipts. THE STEREO/DVD SYSTEM ALONE WAS ABOUT $1,000.00. BRAND NEW ADDITIONS: Tritan V-8 decals to both sides of hood + BRAND NEW OPTIMA YELLOW TOP BATTERY! Tritan V-8s are FORD TOUGH: Most get 300-400 THOUSAND MILES! This motor has been meticulously maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in this truck and drive it cross country any day of the week! NO SMOKE. NO LEAKS. THIS TRUCK HAS A PERFECT CARFAX REPORT! ALSO PERFECT AUTOCHECK REPORT YOU CAN ACCESS ONLINE! NO WRECKS, STRONG ORIGINAL MOTOR, ACCURATE ODOMETER + OVER $8,000.00 WORTH OF MODIFICATIONS! CLEAR TITLE AND EXTRA SET OF KEYS IN HAND FOR THE PURCHASER OF THIS AWESOME TRUCK. Reason for Selling: I'm selling my lifted Ford F-250 Lariat Edition Super Cab 4x4 truck for two reasons. One, because I now live in the city and it won't fit in the garage. Two, I have 2 other vehicles (only really drive one of them) and don't use this truck enough to justify keeping it. Brief history of this truck: Aside from my purchase of this truck, it was formerly a one-owner truck and was only taken off road a couple of times! The truck was never abused and was always professionally maintained. In 2012 I bought this truck from an Air Force officer pilot who was moving overseas and couldn't justify storing it. His father bought this truck brand new in 1999 in Tennessee and the officer (his son) bought the truck from his father and had been driving it ever since. The truck was lifted around 2011. Ever since the truck was bought new from a Ford dealership in TN, the owner's family always serviced the truck at the Ford dealership and took great care to maintain all maintenance schedules including oil-changing schedules at 3-4K miles. During my ownership, I have continued the tradition of the highest standard of maintenance care by only letting a qualified and highly experienced former Ford mechanic touch the truck. This truck has been excellently maintained and I doubt you will find another 1999 pickup in this good of original condition - just reference the pictures. The officer I bought the truck from used the truck to tow his motorcycle to races. The inside lid of the tool box has a wide variety of well placed racing stickers that look awesome. Based on my discussions with the former owner and our collective general estimates, about $8,000.00 worth of extras and modifications are in this truck. I have many if not most of the modification receipts. Just last year the former Ford mechanic I know installed premium heavy duty slotted brakes on all fours including heavy duty rotors and HD ceramic pads. Also I recently had locally built and installed custom muffler tail pipes and a new heavy duty power steering pump. General Condition: To my knowledge everything works well on this truck and it drives smooth and straight on the highway. The truck is extremely dependable and the interior is nice and clean. The leather on the captain's seat bottoms could use replacement due to cracking. I do have new captain's seat covers on the seats now which makes the seats look very presentable. The exterior of the truck is in excellent condition for its age. There are two spots on the right front fender where the paint has been chipped and beginning to rust. Both spots are smaller than a dime. The passenger side door has about a 4 inch scratch right under the mirror. There are various other places on the body with light scratches, but none that are deep scratches through the paint. The tailgate has a dent in the center, but the paint was not chipped or cracked. Mechanically, this truck is in excellent shape. It runs and drives fine. The AC blows cold and the heat is strong! The truck is being sold "AS IS". In summary, this is one awesome truck. It's ready for anything. You name it.
