Vehicle Detail
1992 Mustang Hatchback GT 5 spd manual pretty good exterior i would say 8.5 in the best places and 7.0 in its worse The interior is also about an 7.5 i would rate higher but it's missing a screw here and there and driver side speaker grill falls off every once in awhile. Mechanically the car ran perfect before i installed the turbo kit and its been a never ending project since not because the mechanics but because i don't have time to work on it so i give it a 6. i've had the car since 2009 i bought it from a guy in san diego i believe to be the second owner with 92k miles on it the chassis was absolutely rust free but the trunk was staring to rust around the bottom of the glass so i replaced the trunk, put a Cervinis ram air hood, saleen spoiler and then had the car painted and the car has been rust free ever since. at the time i also put in a sony bluetooth head unit with alpine type s speakers all the way around. The engine is mostly stock with factory forged internals. the turbo kit is from "Turbo Time" it is a stealth kit an mounts in the lower driver side of the engine bay it has Turbonetics 61mm turbo and turbonetics race gate i have it set for about 7psi of boost, single 3 inch exhaust coming out the side just behind the rear wheel. the car could use a new calibrated maf and bigger fuel injectors to see full potential and this is where i pretty much stopped at on the car. also a few more things mechanically speaking the car desperately needs new torque boxes and i believe it also has a bent clutch fork because it is hard to go in gear at slow speeds but ok when moving down the road. I was in a small accident with the car from about less than 20 mph the ppl in front of me got in an accident so instead of hitting them i ran off the road it cracked my front bumper, broke my headlight and popped the airbag so i replaced all three and had the front bumper and hood repainted. i'm pretty sure it didn't hurt the frame beacuse the turbo is right there and it didn't affect any of it. just trying to get all the skeletons out so the next owner can have as much pride as i have in the car. I always wanted a fox with a 429 in it but this one is too nice to make a full on race car but definitely a street beast. I'm looking to buy a house so i need the money to put towards a down payment my loss is your gain. Don't be afraid to come look at it and we can take it around the block if you'd like. If it had good torque boxes i wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California iv'e done once before San Diego to FT Meyers Florida car is now in Tuscaloosa Alabama. http://youtu.be/RlseDqXW_cw http://youtu.be/ikAi2ETXeL4 0 feedback bidders will be cancelled unless i am contacted first. will help ship. Also forgot to mention i left the hood pins out one day and the hood blew up bending the cowl panel i put a good used grill on it and it hides most of the damage. in this part i rate it a 5 not many ppl notice it until i mention it.On Oct-26-14 at 13:07:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I don't know anything about the milage report ebay is showing but i highly doubt the po went 970000k in 3 years! i'll chalk this up to californiat dmv not knowing how to enter numbers on a computer. The car currently has 128996 mi on it and i believe it too be true because when i bought it at 92000mi there wasn't a single drop of oil any where on the car. Obviously the car needs work and is being sold as is it could be dd as is but i wouldn't recommend it until the torque boxes are fixed.
