Up for auction is a 1967 Chrysler Newport Convertible. This has a 383 Big Block Auto A/C, PB,PS,Power Top, 75,000 original miles. This car was only driven for 10 years until 1977 when it was parked in garage until 1 month ago. I purchased this car with the intention of restoring; however, my wife wants it removed immediately will not let me have garage space for this car. With that being said must be sold. Here is what I know about the car. We cleaned the old gas out of car took carb apart cleaned plugs points and car started right up with this being stored for 36 years and sounded good. That is as far as I got with the car. This car is very restorable and has nice interior perfect dash pad, door panels and arm rest it has tears in drivers seat and back has little tear in top. Body has some rust, fenders have rust at bottoms lips are ok. Doors are ok, quarter panels have some rust near back otherwise repairable. This car rusted while sitting in garage from moisture. Trunk has holes but is not that bad. Convertible top is good except for some stitching around edges. Floor has few holes in back and underneath car has some rust. Frame rails underneath has some rust in typical places these rust but repairable. Brake system needs gone over I didn't get to that so I don't recommend moving it. This car must be towed or flat bed or trailer out. It will also need muffler original one rusted off and a battery. Again this car has not been on road for 36 years and I will not guarantee anything on car. It needs completely gone over from sitting.
