This is the perfect fuel saving vehicle it gets around 50 mpg as you can see from picture it's in decent shape to be 14 years old besides the molding on bottom being scratched and dinged up but if you know a bug not surprising they sit very low. The bug only has 92522 miles on it that's very low mileage and nothing on a TDI diesel. Interior of this bug is brand new no scratches are nothing looks brand new. Brand new tires,oil was just changed at 92000, new windshield wipers and vent visors. I'm listing this for my Dad as he is not very up on computers lol he actually bought the bug from me. About 4 years ago and out of the time I owned it and him we have had it for 6 years. Since he has owned it he drove it for probably 2 years to keep miles off his new truck and now has a different car so is ready to sell this one since it has been sitting for a few months reason he bought another car to drive..... The Bad part of the bug is the transmission it shifts but wont go in high gear until its drove a little while. Once it starts shifting into high it will always until you let it sit like i have and it will do it again. Some people say it is a sensor some people say transmission is bad im no mechanic and have too many other vehicles to worry about it. So it has issues but is drivable goes through other gears fine just dont have the power it should but is drivable.That is why the reserve is less then blue book value on the car way less. So don't bid on it till you understand I'm not asking top dollar it is used has clear title and worth way more then asking just has this issue and windows will not roll down and never have which did not bother me are him because it has great A/C and heat. Also the back hatch will not open unless you have remote button key which I had but he has lost but it is a bug not much room back there and backseats fold down so you can get back there so that never bothered me. Also the battery will get weak fast if not drove everyday I'm not a mechanic but I'm sure something is drawing power from it but as long as its drove everyday no problem. It will jump right off and you are welcome to drive it down the road are if you send transport to pick it up it can be drove just expect if it sits to have to jump it off its always been like that have no clue why??? And last the little latch to pop hood is broke not a good VW design but but have a piece of wire to pop it can't see no biggie. This is as honest as I know are my dad know about the vehicle it is a great ride and not wanting top retail for it due to these issues but it is a great bug diesel motor is perfect as far as I know and so is the interior as far as if you drive it everyday the battery works fine but if it sits you have to jump it off probably a easy fix for mechanic and same with windows we both have new vehicles and 2nd vehicles so don't want to spend time are money with it so thats why it's for sale great little bug with awesome diesel motor. I do have reserve but it is well below what the bug is worth happy bidding...
