CLASSIC 1956 CADILLAC CONVERTIBLE SERIES 62 SEE VIDEO AT END OF THE AD!!!! You are viewing a numbers matching 1956 Cadillac Convertible Series 62. The current owner purchased the car in the mid-1990’s and started restoring it several years later. At that time the Caddie had the engine and transmission rebuilt as well as a totally new interior (seats and carpet), and top. The Cadillac drives well (as seen in the video), just needs some refreshing. The paint and bodywork were done prior to the owner purchasing the car and are showing its condition with areas of "crows feet" on the trunk, and a blister below the left head light area. BODY AND INTERIOR: (see data plate photo)Original color of the car was a “Dawn Gray” it is now Wimbledon white. Interior was redone, including the carpeting, to the original red and is in excellent condition. Dashboard is in good condition, clock and radio need to be repaired. All dash lights, speedometer, odometer, turn signals, etc , function normally. Top is in excellent condition, but the motor needs to be repaired. Two (2) new hydraulic cylinders are included (see photos) Power windows, steering, and brakes were all serviced when restored. Power seat and antenna need work. All of the glass is original and in excellent condition, except for the passenger’s side window which is cracked as pictured. All of the chrome is original. ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, & DIFFERENTIAL Original and matching numbers 365 cu. in. / 285 h.p. engine rebuilt to original specifications in late 1990’s. Matching numbers 4-speed automatic transmission rebuilt at the same time as the engine. Original 3.07:1 rear axle ratio. New 15" radial tires were purchased less than 2 years ago.
