Offered for sale is my 1955 M38A1 military jeep. It was on the road after rebuilding the “F” head engine in 1985. It was taken off the road after a brake cylinder leak and stored mostly inside until now. All that was done recently is that it was taken out of the shed in September, had its picture taken and then covered with a tarp. Nothing has been done with the jeep since 1985 and as such it is being sold “as is where is”, hopefully to someone for a restoration project. The jeep has the original 24-volt system but is missing the two batteries and the blackout light that usually resides on the top of the left fender. Directional signal lights were added using existing boltholes and tapping down (to 12 volts) on one battery. They can be easily removed, if desired. The jeep as shown in the pictures has a civilian windshield that was used when it was on the road; however, the military split windshield without its glass is included and comes with the jeep. The M38A1 jeep has been stored for almost 30 years and will need restoration as you may expect. Therefore it is being sold “as is where is”. It was my project 30 years ago and it was fun to drive. Deposit of $500 is required by PayPal within 48 hours with the remainder due as cash or a BANK Check at pickup. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup. It is being sold as is where is. The mileage is unknown but eBay needs a number.
