1986 Mazda B2000 LX Pickup---Manual Trans---Clean Title---Very Low Miles
What you’re looking at here is an extremely rare find. This is the proverbial cream puff you only read about in books. This is a 1986 Mazda B2000 LX pickup with a manual transmission and RWD. It’s a Two-Owner, Non-Smoker, Clean Title vehicle with no accidents or stories. The odometer currently reads 78,823 original miles… that’s roughly 2800 miles a year. Totally amazing, and it drives exactly how you’d expect. Given the mileage of this B2000 one would assume the exterior is in excellent condition, which it is. Unfortunately, automotive paint technology wasn’t the best back then so the hood and roof have faded beyond the clear coat (I call it patina). Either way, depending on one’s preference, this small imperfection can easily be repainted for cheap or left alone to add some character. The rest of the body & paint is in excellent condition. In an effort to disclose any imperfections, I’ve made a quick list of the damages below:

The interior of this Mazda is in exceptional condition overall with the exception of the driver’s side seat back. The door panels, roof trim, dashboard and carpet are in near perfect showroom condition. The interior of this truck is so clean you feel bad wearing your shoes inside! All Switches, knobs and gauges function properly including AC controls (AC works great BTW). There are no signs of smoke or other foul odors. The radio works great and comes with a tape deck Aux adapter to plug into an iPod or smart phone. Overall the interior of this truck really proves how well it was maintained. As I mentioned before, this is a one of a kind find and it deserves a new owner who will continue taking care of it. This B2000 was purchase brand new off the showroom floor by a Mazda salesman who sold it to his mother-in-law in 1986. The mother-in-law used the truck for light duty work to maintain her rental properties until 2009. It was then purchased back by the son-in-law (Mazda Salesman) for use as an extra vehicle in his family. In terms of mechanical condition this truck is extremely sound. There was a small leak coming from the oil pressure sending unit so that was just replaced and now it’s dry as a bone. The engine oil & filter were also replaced at the same time. On startup, the engine cranks with ease and runs perfectly (no blue smoke out of tailpipe). The transmission also shifts up and down without effort. Steering is spot on and the vehicle tracks nicely on all types of roads. Tires are 3 months old including alignment and balance. Brakes operate well with no signs of pulling under braking. Also, the AC blows very cold and heater works too.
In closing, this is a wonderful Mazda B2000 from someone looking for a dependable workhorse or future project car. Coming from an enthusiast myself, I’d love to see this B2000 end up in the hands of another Mazda purist. If you have additional questions or concerns please let me know.
