I purchased this bike new in 1986. I ordered and installed an Avon Sprint RT faring. BMW saddle bags, reynolds luggage carrier and back rest. Later I sold it to a friend of mine. He rode it for many years, and sold it. I came across this bike I used to own, and purchased it back a year ago. The records and services has been kept up to date through the years. The engine runs great. It has good compression, valve lash has been checked and is within specifications. Someone had removed the faring lowers and the windshield was bad, I contacted Avon Sprint in England, they still had the molds for this faring. I had them to make new lowers, radiator grill, all new trim, stainless screws, One new lock and a set of keys for the faring. I installed new mirrors on the faring. The ignition switch was getting worn, so I replaced it, It still carries the original keys for the ignition, and seat and fork lock. I did replace the lock and gas cap, as I found it didnot work. I replaced the saddle bags with a newer set of BMW bags, that are in nice shape with keys to lock them. The stock air cleaner box, was removed and replaced with a K&N air cleaner kit. The owners manual and service manual is with the bike, along with a complete tool kit. It has a Corbin Gunfighter seat, as you can see is in very nice shape. Practically new. It has a new front tire, front forks seals replaced and fresh fork oil. The headbearings have been serviced. New brake pads on front and brake fluid changed, antifreeze changed, engine oil, and filter, transmission and rear changed. As you can see the paint on the frame is in good shape. The faring tank and side covers and tail section have all been repainted. The paint is in excellent shape! It doesnt have a stock muffler, it has a MAC performance muffler, that was originally black I had it refinished in ceramic chrome coating. In pictures, I took the bags off so you can see the muffler. The exhaust pipes are the stock stainless steel pipes. I hope I have covered everything on this, if you have any questions, please email me and I will be glad to answer them.
