Vehicle Detail

1966 Pontiac Le Mans running and driving convertible. I purchased this car from the original owner who is in his 80s and does not remember alot of things done to the car. The VIN tag and trim tag are attached to the car. The odometer reads 91,000 miles. I received many original documents with this car including the original 1966 NJ title, POP, sales contract, owners manual, and the original keys. The original NJ title and the original sales contract are both dated April 6, 1966. The POP (Protect-o-Plate) is in its original booklet. Other original manuals include : owner's manual, accessories manual, and convertible top operation manual. I purchased the car in October 2008 and have owned it almost 6 years. I have never driven it on the road. Before I puchased the car the owner showed me a repair order from a local repair shop in the amount of $1276.00 that he had paid to have work done on the car. Included in the repair order was a new convertible top switch and new convertible top motor. Also included in the repair order was a transmission service, and valve cover gasket replacement. I stored the car for 5 years in a pay storage facility and then later in a farm building for about a year. I removed the car about a week ago washed it and cleaned it and put it into another pay storage facilty. Car has a black bucket seat interior with automatic console shifter. The front door panels have speaker holes cut in them and will need replacement or use as is. The black carpet and the dash w/dash pad are in nice shape. Black power top that has been replaced has no tears operates up and down. The clear plastic rear window unzips and folds down when the top is in the up position. Black convertible top boot is also included. There is no cracks in any of the glass in the car. Equipped with manual steering and manual drum brakes. The car has 14" tires with good tread on steel wheels with hubcaps. Car has a dual exhaust and a large performance from sway bar. I planned to turn it into a GTO convertible tribute. Non-original engine '70s 350 2 barrel with HEI ignition and 2 speed powerglide trans The 350 emblems on the lower fenders are not original. These cars have been known for rust issues in the frame. The frame may have some spots that need attention. Also there is 1 small square block welded to the rear frame on each side that I noticed when I was strapping down the car on my trailer. Trunks looks to have been repaired with panels replaced. Car needs front and rear bumpers either restored or replaced. The hood has a high spot from when the wrong air cleaner bolt was used and has had some previous body work done to it that is starting to show. The body will need attention. The car has had body work done many years ago and will need to have more done or drive in the condition it is in. I noticed the right side passenger lower rocker will need some rust repair. The car will also need a top post battery. I purchased this car from the original owner who was dirving the car to car shows and on the weekends. This car will also be advertised locally during the auction and this auction can end at any time according to Ebay's guidelines. Winning bidder to pay $500 by PAYPAL within 24 hrs. after auction ends with the balance to be paid in cash on pickup of car or by cashier's check.
