Vehicle Detail
The car currently is running perfectly and recently passed Washington State Emissions. There are no dents other than the small rock chips in the lower front valence. The Kevlar clutch is probably the most important feature to make this car far less expensive to maintain going forward. I am the 3rd owner and I have owned the car for 12 years and am selling it because I have a new 458 Spider on order. The second owner had it for 3 years and the 1st owner had it for a year before he got the passenger compartment wet which was dried out with all the precautionary re-lubing by Ferrari of Denver. They replaced the fluids for $130 and $140 in EPA expenses and the rest was labor for a total repair $3063 on $149,000 car (2%) yet the 1st owner salvaged it. There was never an accident report or damage report and the car still had new car smell when I bought it in June 2002. This car was simply the finest car I could locate in all of North America and still is compared to most F355s. When you are buying an F355 you need to ask what improvements have been incorporated - that's more important that what the mileage is. If you buy a low mileage car it will look like mine but you will spend thousands putting in all the fixes all F355s need. (For example Steel braided brake lines etc.) This is why buying my car would be a bargain. Its been stored in a heated garage for the last 15 years which is most of its life. Most of the miles were highway miles on 3 day scenic drives her in the Northwest in the Summer time. Because I have a lift in my garage the car was waxed after every drive. The car has NEVER been tracked. I am selling the car AS-IS no Warranty with the major service due and expecting a discounted price to account for that. One thing I have learned, is if you have a Authorized Ferrari Dealer do the major service required, they will provide a 2 year warranty on the work which is good at any other Ferrari Dealer. It will cost you more but probably worth it. Good Luck on your Bidding!!!
