This is a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300D diesel sedan that I picked up earlier this year as a bio-diesel project car. I have not had the time to do anything with it, so its time to let it go. The engine shows good compression and fires almost immediately, but only seems to run on 4 cylinders. Heavy exhaust smoking combined with moderate coolant use leads me to believe that the head gasket needs to be replaced (head gasket kits are available online for around $200.00, and I saw a couple listings for less). The engine smooths out somewhat and smoking goes down after the engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature. The car is drivable, and was driven in its current condition a number of times, including an interstate trip of about an hour with no problems. It rides very smoothly. The turbo shows good boost, and there is a switchable fuel boost pump installed (shows in at least one photo). Exterior is in good condition with little rust that I know of. Interior is poor to fair, needs to be cleaned. See the pictures for condition details. The sale will include a (not installed) bio-diesel tank with lines and fittings, as well as an extra turbo, intake assembly, and a fuel pump. Also included will be the Haynes manual for this model. It has a good PA inspection, which runs out in December. I do not know if it will need anything to renew its inspection or not. I was told when I purchased the car that everything on it was good to go for at least one more inspection, perhaps two. As far as I know, diesel vehicles are not required to pass emissions testing in PA, so the smoking shouldn't be a problem for inspection. You should confirm that on your own, though, I am not presenting that as a hard fact, only relaying what I've been told by the service garages I use in Cumberland County PA.
