Vehicle Detail
I am listing for Auction my 1975 IH 150 4x4 Pickup truck. I bought this truck from the son of the original owner. He worked for International here in Fort Wayne. They only made just over 6,000 Pickups in 1975 before production ended in April. Very few 4X4s built in 1975. This is one of the last trucks to roll off the assembly line. Those of you familiar with these trucks they are a true work horse and an Awesome truck. I have owned the truck for 2 years, I had the carb rebuilt and have drove it to work in the summer. It has 103,000 original miles on it. 345 V8 engine runs excellent I had the carb rebuilt right after I bought it. I drove this truck to the Red Power Round up show last summer in Ohio. Truck drives down the road 70 miles an hour straight as an arrow. Has 727 Torque flight auto trans. Has dual tanks and the switcher valve works. I run it on the small tank to keep fresh fuel in it, I only run premium in it. The truck is an Indiana truck with that being said the body is extremely good for an Indiana truck. I restored a 74 truck just like this 10 years ago. The truck does have rust but not bad, defiantly restorable. The floors are rock solid, The hood has one small hole on the front edge, both front fenders have bobbling on the back, I have rust free Arizona fenders that are included, passengers door has a small hole I have a rust free one that is included. The bed is in really good shape considering, outside is good floor is solid, has some rust and hole in the uprights on the back inside of the bed. My fabricator was going to cut this out and replace for me so this should be an easy fix. Tailgate has some rust starting, typical inner fender rust, I have a good battery side replacement just needs repaired were the battery leaked. I had full intentions of completely restoring this truck for a driver / show truck, I just don't have the time right now. I really hate to part with this truck. Lights work, brakes work well, all gauges including the odometer work, except for the speedometer has been sticking here lately, tires are nice. These D series 4x4s are quite hard to find, especially a 1975. The truck does need the exhaust replaced. This truck is ready to be a daily driver work truck, or ready for a complete restoration. It is mechanically sound and I would not be afraid to jump in and drive wherever. With that being said it is almost 40 years old and is being sold in as is were is condition. Feel free to Email with questions. I have set the reserve below what I feel this truck is worth as I would like to sell it, but am not looking to give it away I do not need to sell it.
