Vehicle Detail

This is basically an original car. The interior has been totally redone, it is very nice but not the exact original, seats, door panels, kick panels, windlace, headliner, visors, carpet, believe it was done in 2011 but has NO miles or use since then. The dash and all garnish moldings have been woodgrained and look great. the glass is all very good. The body on this car is as good as you will ever see on a 1935 model. There is no rust, the fenders have been removed and repainted, both inside and outside, they could use a good buffing, I hand rubbed the right rear and it came out really good. Around the leather insert on the roof has been repainted. Also the left side of the hood and the headlights, again this was done in 2011. The 4 doors , trunk and remaining paint is original. The doors are so straight it is hard to believe. There is some minor touch up specs, but they are super straight and flat. running boards are very good. It looks like when the fenders were off the outside frame rails were painted, the rest of the underside is clean but could use paint. there is a letter with the car telling the story of buying the car in 1975, for $600.00, towing it home and having a little issue with the tow bar. A bill of sale preceeding 1975 shows the car selling for $75.00. The letter goes on to say he stored the car in his basement in Nebraske for 36 years. When he took it out he had to replace the gas tank and the fuel pump. Nice new aluminum fuel tank, also new exhaust and brakes, no comments on rebuilding the engine. the car starts instantly, runs good, has very minor smoke, This is the first year for built in trunks with a fold down rear spare. The trunk has a jack, extra fan belt, tire tool and an unknown latch, solid and clean inside. Several manuals including an original 1935 Studebaker repair manual. The 2 keys are still the original script Studebaker and show very little wear, must be road miles. The 202 cubic engine runs fine but is not a power house. Equipped with an accessory heater, and 1 wiper. the wheels look like original paint and stripes. A very nice car as is, but would make a perfect restoration project since it is so straight and rust free. In all black it isn't an eye catcher, however the side body lines would accept a two tone paint scheme that would be incredible, also a v8 and slight chopped top with a lowered front end would make an ultimate street rod.On Sep-24-14 at 20:12:19 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 9/25 found 2 more pics I forgot to upload. The first time I glanced at the odometer I thought it said 32,000 miles and I believed it. The car would pass for 32k all day long. Keep sending all those great questions. Thanks for the interest. I have a large car barn and will be glad to store the car as long as you need, once paid for.On Sep-26-14 at 04:42:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 9/26 Thanks for all the interest, several have asked where is the car. It is in Bolingbroke, Georgia zip code 31220, about 1 mile off of I 75 just above Macon
