When you look at the pictures you will be seeing one of the prettiest Taurus cars out there. However, it is in need of major maintenance and repair items. Keeping in mind that I am not a dealer or mechanic this information should be supplemented with a careful inspection by the bidder\buyer. You will find me most cooperative. I absolutely reserve the right to ignore bidders that have no or negative feedback. Please contact me before bidding if that is the case. First, the good stuff. This car is (IMHO) gorgeous. It's body and interior is much better than you could expect a car of this age to be. The paint is shiny without any fading. No dents. A tiny ding, maybe one half inch, not even affecting the paint is under one of the outside mirrors. Other than that you'll virtually no real problems. Tires are several years old but have plenty of tread. Brakes are several years old but with only a few thousand miles on them. The car was used as a second car only locally for a number of years. With all of its issues taken care of the car should ride very well. Recent work includes spark plugs, new heater pipe on firewall, new front wheel hubs and one replacement tire. Now, the negatives: This list is what I know about. I am not a mechanic, dealer or expert so please arrange to inspect the car before buying or making an offer. Anything I say here is a best guess some backed up by a mechanics inspection. There is no return or any other recourse once you take the car as you will be the final judge of its condition. I will need at time of pickup, balance due on the car, a receipt for the car for my records and a signature on an as-is statement. The car will need: Struts all around, Stabilizer links, Oil Pan Gasket and replacement bolts(some clown damaged the bolts long before I bought the car), The exhaust system seems tight without leaks however it is clunking somewhere. I was told it needs hangers. The PCV system needs service. It probably could use a full maintenance check including fluids. . There is one item that renders it close to unusable without attention. The a/c clutch is failing and is making enough noise to wake the dead. If this fails altogether it will break the accessory drive belt. The a/c itself is cold enough to freeze meat. It does cut out for a very short period of time. That could be related to the clutch or perhaps a switch. With this and the exhaust problem fixed it could be used temporarily. I was using it until the A/C clutch failed. I am open to offers so offer away. If I accept your offer you can have the car as soon as you can pay for it and pick it up.
