Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 Up for sale is a 1968 Rally Sport (RS) Camaro, this car runs great and has been used as a daily driver, I take it out at least 3 or more days a week and it has been a lot of fun and gets compliments everywhere, stop lights , gas stations and most places you pull up to. My finances have become tight so I am letting it go. It is a 3 speed automatic with a shift kit and it has very solid firm shifts. It has a fresh 350 engine with a lunati cam, and hooker headers / Flow master true duals that sound amazing. The engine starts easy, idles smooth, and runs strong, The car does not have rust and has been repainted red several years ago, however the paint is not perfect but its not terrible. The paint has normal wear and tear from use, but at least it was the same color so everything matches up nicely. The front headlights work, however the vacuum actuators are not hooked up so the headlight covers have to be manually opened or closed as needed for day or night time driving. It’s the perfect candidate for the electric headlight door conversion. All of the gauges work, and it has a recent Virginia inspection. The car has a 12 bolt rear limited slip diff.with what I was told has a 4.11 gearing. This is fine for the around town driving trips I take. At 60 mph the rpm’s are around 2300- 2400 which leaves plenty left. The speedo reads inaccurately at higher speeds, the trans tail shaft gear to change and fix this is as easy as $15.00 and 1 bolt to remove the speedo gear from the trans tail shaft and swap the gear for the correct ratio, I was going to do this but I quickly got use to it and decided to just drive since I know where I am based on what it is reading to the actual, The speedo works smooth, no bouncing or any odd issues The car also has ladder bars, to go with the good 12 bolt posi rear, and a strong motor so when its time to let the horses out its feels and sounds great. It stops fine but does still has drum brakes front and rear. The car only has 58141 miles. The title states actual mileage and it’s been the previous owners dream come true as well as my own. It has been garage kept most of its life and always well maintained. It has power steering, and Deluxe black interior that looks great. The original interior is in excellent condition. There is a crack in the dash and the headliner is decent but there are a few loose areas in the seams. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and it has a nice custom fit liner in there as well. The floor pans, trunk and everything on the car is solid. I bought this car originally after looking for a long time to find one that was rust free and not $25000 or more, rotisserie restored ect. I wanted what I am now selling, a car you can hop in and drive anywhere, its paint is not perfect so you don’t have to park in the back of the lot and walk a mile to keep people away from it, and you can use it like what it was meant for, its fast enough to get you in trouble or /excite your passengers/scare people and has no play in the drive train, the engine is crisp / responsive and pulls hard, and it is in good condition. All lube points have been greased, the oil was just changed, and the transmission fluid looks new, and it has an transmission fluid external cooler mounted in front of the radiator = more total trans fluid volume and lower operating temps so it’s a win win to have it. The rear fluid looks new, no chatter, feel free to request any pictures or ask any questions you would like to know. Please do not bid on this car if you are not prepared to purchase it. This car is increasing in value. One of the things I love so much about this car and will miss is that its easy to work on, for example if the visor is loose, there is a screw to tighten it, same as the rear view mirror, they don’t make them like this anymore. The tires are in decent shape, the rears will be needed within the next 6 months depending on how you drive. No drivability issues, It idles well, it handles well, and should remain a trouble free car for many years to come and for a 1968, that is well maintained/ updated, it is rare from what ive seen to find a car that is this solid in the price range I’m selling it. The reserve is off at $16,500, and I haven’t seen anything like what I have for this price so good luck and feel free to come see it in person if possible, Buyer responsible for shipping, I will watch you drive it away or help load it on a trailer but I am not able to deliver it, so the buyer must take care of shipping. And the wining bidder is expected to make the completed payment within one week (7 Days) of the auctions end. Thanks for reading, I hope this car makes someone as happy as it has made me.
