Vehicle Detail
Totally rebuilt 1986 Suzuki Quad Racer 250RPrice- $2150I am selling this locally too, however - if you are seeing this - I still have the bike. This was a complete mechanical restoration, it's a beast, and once fully broken in, it's going to embarrass a lot of newer bikes you'll be riding with. It is side by side with my Banshee and my trx450r - EASILY.I hate to sell it, but I'm making some life changes and don't have room for every toy I own any more - I say this so you'll know I'm not trying to sell anyone a bag of problems, I have replaced and rebuilt about everything on this bike from top to bottom mechanically, I didn't worry about looks, so I didn't repowder coat it - 1 because the original coating is still in great shape, and 2 because I ride my toys, but once together it's going to look better than most :)The frame is original powder coating, and is in great shape - it has NOT been spray painted with rattle cans like virtually every other 250R I have found. So it looks just as good in person as it does in the pics. The frame is solid, I did find one spot that needed a new weld (the exhaust mount), and it was professionally fixed/welded. The rims are clean and in tact, no bends, maybe a few very tiny little dents - but in excellent shape. Lots of tread left on the tires as well. I have owned MANY racer 250 and 500 r's over the years. What you have to know about these bikes when seeking them out - just having a fresh top end isn't enough - you HAVE to know the bottom end is solid. This one is more than solid - it is completely rebuilt, all new bottom end, EVERYTHING, bearings, crank, everything - cases are PERFECT. Top end completely rebuilt as well, wiseco piston, wrings, wrist pin, circlips, head trued. Serious compression, simply kicking it over, you know she's perfect. Brand new FMF pipe Carb rebuilt and rejetted New reeds New water pump and seals Rebuilt all the seals in all the hydraulics, brake calipers, master cylinders, pads etc. New cables New hosesThe best part - this racer 250 is tight - meaning it's, not a rattle box, nor a loose feeling ride - rides straight, tight, and true. All new A arm bushings, tie ends, steering bushings upper and lowerNew rear bearings and bushings carriers etc.New sprocketsNew chainNew chain guidesNew gripsNew air filterNew coil pack and wiresSeat is OEM and is near flawless!Has roost boost Honestly - there really isn't anything on this bike that I haven't rebuilt or replaced.I have used white plastics for it - not perfect - but they will work, I was going to replace them with a new set from maier before I decided it had to be sold - new owners call, I will put the old plastics on it prior to pick-up or delivery for you, but you can get aftermarket plastics everywhere and cheap for it.All in all - I have at least $4000 in parts and labor in the the engine and on the chassis, (not including what I paid for the bike) and many of my own hours into this - it is a STEAL at $2150. I could part this thing out and make well more than selling it together - I just don't have the heart to do it - I want it to find a good home where it will be ridden for many more years to come.No trades.Paypal or if picked up, cash/cashiers check from a bank I can verify funds on.Local pick-up or we can work out delivery, price does not include delivery.I will ship only after payment has been received and clears. If it needs delivered - I'll prep and palletize for shipping at no extra cost (but the actual cost freight isn't included).Sold with bill of sale.
