Vehicle Detail

This is probably one the cleanest original bikes you will ever see. It runs great. Starts with just a couple of kicks, transmission shifts smoothly, and clutch is in good condition. I purchased this bike new back in April of 1979. It never came with a title, only a sales receipt. Michigan does not require a title on a dirt bike (Ebay requires this field filled in but no title exists). Bike had not been ridden since 1996 and started right up. Below are the highlights. · Engine runs good. About 15 ~ 20 hours on current bore and piston (either .020 or .030 over,… I can’t remember). Primary chain is in good condition, no stretching. · Exhaust pipe is in excellent condition, no dents or dings (just a little paint missing here and there). · Ignition system works great. · Original Bing carburetor runs good. · Transmission shifts smoothly. Works as it should. · Clutch is in good condition. · Brakes stop the bike but the brake shoes are worn (yes, they are the originals) · Front rim is the original Akront with the original Metzeler tire. · Rear rim was changed when I first bought the bike to a Sun 17” rim. I was short and light so the 17” rim lowered the bike slightly and I installed a Trelleborg 5.50 X 17 tire for better traction during holeshots. If the buyer prefers, I will change the rear tire and rim back to the original 18” Akront with the original Metzeler tire (4.50 X 18”). · Gas tank is free of any dents or dings. Paint is pretty good considering that it is 35 years old. Inside is totally clean, no gas residue build up. · Original Corte Cosse rear shocks. No visible signs of leakage. · Front forks are clean with no scratches, rust, or pits. Forks seal do not appear to be leaking. · Seat is in good condition. There are a couple of very small splits in the vinyl ( it is getting old and brittle). · Original Falk front fender and side covers. Rear Fender is a M. Roberts. · Matching Numbers Bike (see photos) Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. $200.00 deposit due within 48 hours of end of auction. Full payment due within 7 days of end of auction. Bike is sold “AS IS” with no warranty. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
