Vehicle Detail
1972 TargaOne of the top ten Porsche's growing in value both here and in the UKFresh built and balanced 2.0 liter in January 2013. All receipts and photos documenting build. Car has 2.0 heads. Also includes about a $1,000.00 in parts including additional targa top, pair original tail lights with lenses, 1.7 L heads from old motor core plus many more.5 lug Fusch conversion, SS heat exchangers, new calipers, brakes, carpet, SS fuel lines, new fuel pump, Twin Webber 40 IDF carbs, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, 73' side shifter trans axle, new shifter bushings. Great driver. needs lots of rust repair in the typical 914 spots. Motor leaks a bit at oil cooler washers.Rear trunk rust has been cut out along pass side behind tail lights and primed are is about 1.5 wide X 14" long.Front trunk has thinning and pitted rust areas under the spare tire locationWindshield has two small spots on either side of the lower trim that are bubbling.Diver side longitudinal need major repair / Pass side is not as bad, but needs repair just the same - see picsHell hole is actually not bad - SURPRISE! one small area just in front of the fire wall As you can tell from the pictures the car is pretty straight. . . Hagerty Price Guide rates car as #4 and valued at $9900.00 see report at Haggerty.com. The car starts and runs great, but I was unaware of the amount of rust that was hidden under some bad cover up work when I bought the car. The car needs restoration in the long run to be a dependable daily driver or could be parted out for double the reserve if you have the time. I have a clear Colorado title in hand.
