ORIGINAL KARMANN EDITIONrare find under $15,000 I bought this car from an enclosed garage in Brooklyn NY where it had sat for 15 years under a cover. The previous owner had documented shows entered and won throughout his ownership. My plan was to remedy any problems and create a daily driver for my 16 year old daughter, cute right! Ya except when my daughter saw the car she had a fit of anxiety about social repercussions! She now drives a 2013 Volkswagen cc. I put over $3000 into it in the past 6 months wheels and whitewalls, second set of EMPI wheels pictured, with Black wall Michelin tires,, new single carb system, replaced all hoses, belts, cleaned out fuel tank and replaced all hoses, drove the car myself about 200 miles total. The top looks like brand new and so does the exterior. The only thing I was planning on doing that I haven't gotten to yet is replace the original steering wheel, inexpensive dash wood grain (two small pieces) and I wanted to put a vintage radio to replace the modern BMW cassette player in their now. Carpet and Paint are nearly perfect. In fact the BONUS you can't see in the picture is the pearl iridescence of this custom paint job. I tried to capture the vibe in that one picture at sunset but it just looked antiqued in the photo. Car runs GREAT!!! Rides Smooth as silk on the new tires and rims. Brakes stop on a dime. I am happy to send video upon request via email only which includes running, driving, interior view and more. My thought is full video will close the deal for any body thinking of a VW BUG! Disclosures: Paint and Upholstery are nearly perfect. Both bumpers are a bit pitted but clean and rust free. Top looks pristine. Brand New Tires and Wheels No A/C, original dash is perfect but the 2 wood grain "stickers/cover plates" are faded or what I call dated. The carpet in the car is perfect and so is the trunk. One tiny spot by the antenna had chipped the paint right next to the radio antenna but there is no rust anywhere on this car. The rest of the work would be steering wheel and dash board work and maybe a couple of bumpers if you didn't want to keep polishing them.
