Vehicle Detail

Listing is for ONE ski: 2006 Honda Aquatrax F-12X Turbo 4-stroke watercraft. Hits 65mph on the speedo. Cosmetic condition is a 10. The ski was always garaged kept. Just ask me for high-resolution pics via email. No fading, no cracks, chips, seat and gauge cluster look like new, as does the rest of the ski. Mechanical: The common Aquatrax problems have been addressed, and the engine is very clean. Always washed and flushed. Here are the things you should look for when buying an Aquatrax:- The turbo, especially the waste gate actuator, should not have any rust or corrosion if properly kept. Most will have a rusty actuator that sticks, or a rusty turbo that shows the ski is not properly maintained. On this ski, the turbo and waste gate have been coated with a high-temperature ceramic paint that will prevent any rust. The waste gate actuator was replaced in 2013 with an upgraded one that will not rust. - The exhaust manifold: holds cooling water in a small pocket. Whether fresh or salt, the water will corrode through the inner passages of the manifold, allowing water into the exhaust and into the turbo causing problems. This ski has a brand new exhaust manifold installed, at a cost of $1200. - The through-hull bearing: commonly rattles due to worn bearings or seals wear and allow water into the hull. A brand new one was just installed in this ski. The part cost $165 + labor.- The ECM, or "computer" - typical failure around 100-120 hours from my personal experience and through reports online. I have replaced one in my other aquatrax at 120 hours at a cost of $800. This ski is at 205 hours, so probably will not fail. If you buy an aquatrax, be sure to test it at least 30 min. at speed to check the ECM is not failing and causing engine limp mode (FI Light, code 25). New spark plugs, Honda OEM = $50 +laborNew oil + filter, Honda OEM = $50 +laborAll of this work was done in the past few months. With all of these common problems addressed with brand new parts, this ski is ready to ride for many more years. If you are shopping for a turbo Aquatrax, then make sure you look at all of these common problems and you will see why this one is better. I will provide a lengthy test ride to serious buyers with cash in hand. I don't have a trailer to go with the ski, it is currently sitting on my double, so you will have to bring your own, or I can help you get one. Call for questions or appointment 352-870-8704
