This truck has quite a history. Orig. was a Co. truck. 1st private owner worked for the Santa Fe RR. That's how he knew about it & bought it. That was 1968.About 10 yrs., ago I purchased the truck from him. He was an 80 yr. old Native American [Navajo]. He, at that time, was a hobo, living in the truck.I was surprised to see that it was up to date on the reg. & also insured. He told me. "Hey,I'm a hobo,not a bum! I pay my way". I am a steam locomotive engineer for the Disneyland railroad. I have really enjoyed this fine little piece of history.I named the truck Vincent, after a song my bluegrass band plays [52 Vincent Black Lighting]."He" has been a good daily driver for me, carrying vintage furniture ,music equipment & other cargo.Just like he has all his life. I drive him on L.A. freeways,to Disneyland all the time! Vincent has never left me stranded. These panel trucks are much more scares than the pick ups. Especially in this good of shape. Always gets a lot of looks & thumbs up. I have a stack of receipts, from upkeep for him.upgraded from 6v to 12vturn signal system installed [old school style] see pic.brand new deep cell batterybrakes recently gone throughupgraded hanging clutch/brake pedals"3 on tree" upgraded to "4 on the floor" tranny bigger engine, still straight 6 Chevy. 235cu.SMOG EXEMPT!Tranny & rear end have never given me any problemsNice big Delco/Remy old air type horns [loud!] [electric not air. no probs.] see pic.all keys/dr. handles still work/fit. Even the glove box!Body & frame are straight - needs a few holes filled inNo frame rot! Needs some upholstery done.You can jump up & down on the running boards, SOLID!Orig wheels & hubcaps.Tall/thin, matching "old man"stock looking tires, in great shape!Ask me anything you want about Vincent. I'm not a mechanic, but will try to answer the best I can. I hope Vincent finds a good new home. I'm gonna be really sorry to see him go. I just don't have a place for him anymore. You're gonna love this damn truck!
