Please note that this car carries a rebuilt title which means that this vehicle was involved in an accident a while back but then was purchased and professionally reconstructed by a company that specializes in the reconstruction of Volkswagen TDI vehicles. This vehicle has been on the road for approximately 2 years and is still running in excellent condition! The only reason I am selling this car is because I have upgraded to the newest GTI, otherwise I would love to keep this beautiful machine! I have been in one parking lot fender-bender this past winter which caused some body damage and some damage to the turbocharger. As of today, all the related damage has been fixed and the car now carries a brand new turbocharger in addition to brand new body moldings. The car starts up swiftly, runs smooth and offers the perfect balance between fuel economy, that sporty feel and utility. On longer road trips, I have seen about 550 miles per full tank and that was with a fully packed car! You should definitely be seeing fuel economy in the range of approximately 35-40 mpg as long as you are a sensible driver. UNDER THE HOODNever had any major engine related problems in the lifetime of the car. All of the glow plugs were replaced at around 125K. Brand new genuine VW turbocharger installed April 2014 (as mentioned above). Full synthetic oil and filter change once ever 6-8 months. When I purchased the vehicle, the dealership told me the car has an upgraded Bilstein suspension system and a "sport clutch". EXTERIORThe car has had a brand new wiper blades, front bumper cover, front passenger fender, and front passenger headlight assembly installed within the last 3 months otherwise most everything else has been there since I purchased it in March 2013. Four (4) brand new Nokian all-weather tires were installed about 8 months ago and still have a warranty left on them. Traction is excellent with these tires and really provide excellent grip especially in rainy and snowy environments like New England! Thule roof racks come installed with unlock keys so you can attach your bikes, skis, or other larger items onto the top without scratching the body! INTERIORMassachusetts state legal tint (35%) on all windows of the car. Stock car stereo replaced with a Pioneer FH-X700BT double-din receiver. Works great and sounds A LOT better than with the stock stereo. Interior detailing performed regularly to keep in great condition. No stains or torn fabric anywhere on the inside.
