Vehicle Detail
This Metro has its original Austin-Healey engine (1500 series); This is a great car; it starts, runs and shifts good; New head gasket & seals; No oil leaks; Original transmission - 3 speed manual; New generator, voltage regulator & plug wires; Painted two years ago, including re-plating chrome (has some minor rust spots); White convertible top (replaced about 10 years ago); Brown interior; Has original AM radio, but needs servicing; Includes heater (it's optional on some models); The odometer is not working and stopped at about 46,000; 2 doors with inside trunk access; Car located in Greenville, SC; Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. No reserve on this auction! Will require bank transfer before releasing title or vehicle. Contact me through e-bay and I'll respond quickly. I've owned this car for 20 years; I am not a collector. I just bought the car for fun. Prepare to be noticed when you drive this car; you'll hear approving horn honks, and stories from admirers! On Aug-25-14 at 15:44:10 PDT, seller added the following information: In answer to a possibe bidder...There are five small spots where the paint chipped with surface rust. Three are about 1/8" diameter, one is 1/2" x 1/8", and one is along a metal seam. The chrome is all in good shape except the lower trim on the front grill which has a cluster of small rust spots. The underside is in good shape. It was undercoated (before I bought the car), and some of this undercoating has peeled, but there is no obvious rust. The floor panels are all in good shape; the driver's side front has a piece of sheet metal covering the fill openings for the brake & clutch cylinders. Let me know if you have other questions.
