This is one of the very first SC400 coupes ever made by Lexus, check the Vin (0002618), in 1992 they set the luxury market on its head with this car. Everyone realized that BMW/MB/Audi were overpriced and unreliable compared to the solid reputation of Toyota manufacturing. Smooth, Quiet, Powerful, Fast. It was true the day it rolled off the line, and is still true today. In the mid 90's, I sold these cars new for Bobby Rahal Lexus in Mechanicsburg, PA. Bought my first one, extremely used, in 2001 and happened to open my Ebay account shortly after, hence SC400dan. Due to having to switch to a station wagon, had to sell it and regretted it everyday until a couple months ago when the car seats were thrown away and it was time to get a fun car again. In one of the pictures, you will see my red '92, daily driver with 70k. So happy with that car. At 23 years old, it is becoming a rarity to see these in good condition. I am occasionally stopped at gas stations and get asked about it. Anyway, back to the car for sale. Moonstone Pearl Metallic paint, 260hp V8 engine, 4 speed auto trans, leather, moonroof, dual exhaust chrome tips, in addition to all the standard stuff, this car has an aftermarket double din navigation unit, stereo sounds awesome, Cobra front/rear radar detector, impress your friends with the factory car phone! :) Car runs and drives great, no issues, recent PA state inspection, tires are relatively new, no rust issues. Things it needs: Trunk has some fading which didn't show up on the pics very well, interior is in good shape aside from the back seat. Currently there is a cover on it due to splitting seams on the backrest portion. There are seats for sale on Ebay and SC owner sites which is where I would go if I were keeping this one. There is a tiny star in the windshield, easily fixable. The 12 disc stock changer doesn't work with the new Nav unit, but there is a slot in the unit for Cds. Also an Aux port which is more likely what you will use. Reliability, style, uniqueness, sports car speed and handling...not much else you could ask for at the price. With the miles, if you buy it and drive it for a couple of years everyday, it will still have incredibly low miles and be worth as much if not more than you paid for it!
