We live in Los Angeles and are moving to the east coast. We have decided to leave behind our beloved Volkswagen Passat (named "Hen"). She has been a good car to us for 3 years and a good car to my brother for the 3 years prior. The original owner was a family friend who was an older lady and rarely used the car. The car's first home was Alabama but has been in California for about 6 years. The car has leather interior, a sun/moon roof, power windows, power lock, remote control keys, cd player, etc. We drive it regularly from the South Bay (Manhattan Beach) to work in Pasadena and to San Diego and Palm Springs on the weekends with no problem. We've taken her on numerous long distance trips as well without problem. She is a really good car! Hen has one dent by the driver door. It's not pronounced and the picture does a good job showing it, i.e. hard to notice. There is one paint ding on the back bumper. Other than those two things, her structure and look are clean and standard. It has been a no smoking car. We have all the paper work on servicing over the last few years including SMOG checks. We've kept up on all regularly servicing. We recently had the car serviced and can give you the name of the garage and servicer if you'd like to talk to him. If you are in the Southern California area and would like to test the car, we can meet in Westchester in the evenings M-F and weekends or downtown LA or Pasadena during working hours M-F. We'd like a cashier's check or money order for payment and would strongly prefer to do everything in person (i.e. no shipment) for ease, but we can certainly discuss that point depending on your needs.
