Hello this is a 1978 MG Midget that I have owned for several years. I purchased the car through a dealer on the East End of Long Island who told me the car was a one owner car although I never verified that I do have a copy of the old title with the prior owners name on it. I wanted to restore this car but have recently come to the conclusion that I don't have the time and I am in need of garage space so here it is for sale. I never put the car on the road just drove it around the block every once in a while since I owned it. I recently put a new battery in it and I also did a rear brake job which included shoes drums and wheel cylinders. Front brakes seemed ok. Although the car drives it will need attention in the following areas. 1st gear is making noise and I'm not sure what it could be as it always wasn't like that, I also had to hook up a wire and jump the electric fuel pump to get it to work, might be a fuse problem? There are 2 dents on the top of the driver's fender which can be seen in the photos. There a couple of smaller dents on the cars as well that are less noticeable. The top has rips on both sides by the quarter glass area. The seats have rips in them and the carpeting will need replacing. On the plus side the car is very solid given it's age. There is one rust spot on the driver's side as seen in the photos, and a rust hole in the drivers floor board that is about the size of a silver dollar, the trunk is in real nice shape with no rust to be found. Included in the sale is a tonneau cover which I took a photo of. The odometer shows 43,008 miles, unknown if this is the original mileage or not. The car is available for a test drive and I would encourage interested parties to come and look at the car in person. I have a clear NY title in hand in my name. I also have a Haynes automotive manual that is included. I am offering this car for sale with no reserve so bid to own.
