Up for auction or BIN purchase is my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado LT 2500HD, Crew Cab, Long Bed, 2WD pickup with 8.1L Vortec Engine and Allison Automatic Transmission with 131,000 miles. I purchased this truck in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida on eBay in October of 2007, when it had 72,000 miles on it. This 2500HD has the LT package; dual power/heated leather seats, memory drivers seat (2 memory settings), single CD player, cruise control, cassette player, power windows, power locks. After market options on this truck include Rhino Spray-in Bed Liner, HD Reese Hitch, 7-Pin Trailer Connection, Extendable Tow Mirrors, two 850 CCA batteries. At or near 100,000 miles I had the trasmission serviced (oil & internal filter), differential service (lube change & inspection), Radiator flushed and new coolant installed, Engine flushed. The Firestone Transforce tires were installed less than 10,000 miles ago and have approximately 70-75% tread left. This has been an excellent truck, and I have never been disappointed in it. The truck rides/drive excellent and uses zero oil between changes (3,000 miles). 12-13 MPG empty, 10-12 MPG loaded. I am selling this truck because with our first child has come a change in lifestyle, and we are liquidating a few things and settleing down. I had this truck for pulling my trailers and another truck (2003 Avalanche which is also up for auction or BIN) that I used as a daily driver. With the change of lifestyle I do not have the room to store two trucks, or the time to service and care for two trucks as is required. I have purchased a newer HD truck to serve both purposes. You will NOT find a better truck than this truck, it gets decent MPG for the unbelievable horse power and torque of the 8.1L engine with effeciency of the Allison Automatic Transmission. I bought the 8.1L not only because of its good reputation, but also because it was the only way to get the Allison Transmission without getting a diesel. I have found the 8.1L to be very reliable, quite running and smooth, and I still consider it a better option economically than the option of the diesel.
