This is a 1940 Pontiac Model 29 Torpedo Sport Coupe one of the rarest Pontiac's. Body is sitting on a 1993 Chevy S-10 frame. Floor, trunk floor, and wheelhouses were removed to fit tires and to be able to adjust body to frame height for channeling. Body was braced with wood framing.Was not sure about Pro- street or Gasser look.Frame can easily be lengthened for pro -street. A lot of people just add a nova sub-frame. It can also be removed and made out of square tube for Gasser style straight axle. Nose was sandblasted and repairs were started.Radiator support was repaired end primed.Rocker panels are new and screwed to body for test fit. Doors open and close easily.Rear body panel has some patches riveted to it. Started to repair right 1/4 panel patching is screwed in place. PARTS: Dashboard (sandblasted ), glove box door with clock delete plate, speaker grills, radio delete plate, 2 speedometers, 2 steering columns with boxes, 1 original steering wheel,1 gm tilt column, 2 racing bucket seats with leather covers, fuel cell, wheelie bar, [3 bumpers 1 rear in car ,1 original rear and front rusted but complete], [2 sets of grills,2 sets of hood louvers pitted but not cracked], grill center molding, hood center molding, Indian head hood ornament/release, hood emblem, set of hinges from a sedan need modification to work, tail lights, headlight buckets and bezels, marker lights . Vent window frames and interior window trim from a 39 coupe and a 40 sedan will need to be altered to fit. This is the only car with this style door and roof line. Or you can take the easy way out and screw in some red plexi-glass. 1978 Pontiac 400 long block, no intake, oil pump, or rocker arms. Came out of a Trans-Am was running when removed (sitting in car)Trailer has 1 year old and new tires that have never see pavement. Registered and lights work. These cars were titled by a tag on the frame.I have the title and vin tag from the S-10. I also have the original tag from the Pontiac frame. This will make it easy to get a re-builders title or file for lost title. I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THE BODY CAR and TRAILER sold AS-IS. This a project car and will need extensive welding and fabrication. It is being sold locally and seller reserves the right to end auction at any time. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY.
