For sale is my 2001 Volvo S80 2.9, which served as my daily driver to school and work from Spring 2011 to now (recently acquired a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport). The vehicle was previously owned by my father's business partner who maintained it at the local Volvo dealership, and a Swedish specialty service center called "Swedish Motors". I acquired the vehicle from him in Spring 2011, and also maintained at Swedish Motors. The vehicle is in great condition for having approximately 152,000 miles, and was always washed and waxed to maintain the paint's condition. With that being said for being over ten (10) years old the vehicle is not perfect it does have some scratches and dents/dings, and the interior has a tear in the driver's seat. The other seats, interior trim, and headliner are fine, and only some wear from age, otherwise pretty good interior. I have always done my best to keep this vehicle in good shape by keeping it cleaned and maintained. I have all the service records, and I can provide them for review upon request. These are some of the things I have had replaced during my ownership: Timing Belt @ 105,000 miles (good till 205,000)New front control arms @ ~110,000 milesSpark Plugs @ 120,000 milesFour (4) new Bridgestone Ecopia Tires replaced in Spring 2012 ~125,000 milesNew Volvo OEM rotors and pads @ 135,000 milesNew Volvo OEM (Sachs) front Struts/Strut Mount Bushing, and rear shock absorbers @ 149,000 miles Always used Synthetic Oil and Volvo OEM filters when oil was changed.I am very confident in this vehicle. The vehicle drives really well, and like all Volvo's its favorite place is on the highway cruising at 65 mph. All the fluids are within specification, and the car does not leak oil. The tires have significant tread life remaining, and brakes are still good (~9/32 all tires, ~8/32 all brakes). The value of the work listed above is in the thousands, and it reflects my commitment to my vehicle. I think this would be the perfect vehicle for a new driver, or someone who really enjoys older Volvo's for their comfort and reliability.
