1963 Volkswagen Street Buggy Roadster ……….NICE NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT HAND BUILT – SOLID AND RUST FREE This is a one-of-a-kind Street Buggy, nothing else like it, not even close. This car was built by a craftsman out of airplane aluminum. It is fitted to a 1963 Volkswagen chassis and drive train. It is solid and rust free. It is straight and very strong. It draws a crowd when standing still plus gets plenty of looks on the road. I have owned it for 8 years and it is now time for someone else to enjoy it. It has seen many fun times; the beach, numerous dinner dates, country rides, city streets, car shows and plenty of cruises. It is a fun motor car. DRIVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS Drive it at highway speeds. There is no shake, shimmy, rattle or roll. It handles very well. It stops quickly. It has plenty of power. The clutch operates properly and it goes through the gears easily with no effort. A pleasure to drive. Attention was given to safety, stability and road handling when built. The roll cage is sturdy, custom built for this vehicle and fits perfectly. It is quick and easy to get in and out. Just in case you do not want to drive to your destination, this car comes with a very nice tow bar. WELL CARED FOR – INSIDE AND OUT This Buggy has been well maintained. I repaired or replaced and serviced before necessary. At this time, I do not know of anything that needs attention. All installed systems function properly. There are no leaks or strange noises. The engine is clean and so is the engine compartment. It starts quickly and idles properly. The deck lifts and allows easy access to the engine. Everything is in place and there is a place for everything. The exhaust can be heard but is not too loud. It has a wonderful sound. The interior is very clean, roomy and comfortable. The seats are supportive and fit the car perfectly. They have brand new covers done in durable marine vinyl, as is the really cool mini top. The floors are solid and show no signs of rust. The dash is nicely done. All of the lights work and there are plenty of them. There are hazard lights, a back up light, turn signals, high and low beam bug eye headlights and 4 tail lights. The car sits on 4 brand new Firestone 15” Firehawk tires with aluminum wheels. There is plenty of room for all sorts of gear. ………camping, fishing, motor trips or pleasure gear. The vintage suitcases go with the car. This is a well built, nicely maintained, quality vehicle. It has lasting value, style and is reasonably priced. REMEMBER TO PLACE YOUR BID. Information on the window form overrides any contrary provisions in the contract of sale. All Michigan buyers are required to pay the 6% sales tax and applicable fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. Michigan law requires us to collect and FORWARD all applicable state taxes to your state. Canadian and other foreign buyers are NOT required to pay 6% Michigan sales tax as long as the vehicle is exported. Tag and title fees not included. The State of Michigan does not keep record of vehicle miles older than 10 years. Vehicles older than 10 years will show the miles as exempt on the title.
