Vehicle Detail
Very rare 1970 Peugeot 204 convertible. Not many of these in the states. I originally purchased this one from someone in Canada. Rust started to get to it and I have no shop to properly attack the repairs needed. It was a great car that I drove around for years with almost zero issues until the floor pan holes appeared. It was running when I parked it but am selling it as not running. The last time I started it was 2 years ago and with a solid battery and a little gas in the carb to prime it, it started right up, but no guarantees today and don't want to create any unrealistic expectations. The floorpans need to be addressed before it is a road worthy vehicle and want any purchaser to buy it as a project not a driver. The rust is in the corners where the unibody bolts to the subframe (a common issue with these vehicles) As you can see from the pictures it needs the floor repaired, the convertible top replaced, a paint job, and I would assume some body repairs. You can see where it has some filler in places on the door and lower panels as well as the dent on the hood. I have never stripped it down to see how extensive these would be. This would make a great project for someone who is familiar with Peugeots, Renaults, Volvos(lots of the motor parts are interchangeable) or really any late 60's early 70's European cars. Or great for parts if you already have one of these. As you can see the trunk pan is solid, interior is descent, drivetrain should all be good(again no guarantee, 2 years since I started it) and lots of good body parts. I have no idea on the mileage. As you can see from the odometer picture it is in MPH and it has always turned. I assume it to be correct but on vehicles of this age they are always titled odometer inop, exceeds, or TMU. I have a clear Florida title on the vehicle. I have loaded some pictures here but there are a bunch more on a flickr page. Evidently you cannot put links on these listings any longer so please cut and paste this link or feel free to email me for a link. https://www.flickr.com/photos/60723639@N07/sets/72157645987560651/ Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. I have tried to picture and describe this vehicle as much as I can. Would be a great project if I had a shop! Will make a fun ride for someone else or a perfect parts donor
