Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a 1984 Mazda Rx7 GS with 71581 original miles!! I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle having had it in my possession for the past 14 years (purchased in 2000 with approx. 65000 miles). The body and paint are in absolutely fantastic condition…with no rust what so ever. The “rusty jones” treatment was applied in the 80’s to prevent corrosion. The engine and transmission are perfect, and the vehicle runs like new. The tires have less than 500 miles (new), and the brakes have approximately 5000 miles). This is the GS model with the standard options (has the hookups for AC as an option, but does not have AC). The vehicle does require several minor maintenance issues to be resolved. As of last season when I last started the car, it was running rich with fuel. The carburetor requires simple adjustment. The carburetor was replaced several years ago so this isn’t a surprise. Transmission pan gasket needs to be replaced...transmission itself is in perfect mechanical conditionThere a thin spot in the exhaust pipe (muffler shop tech. said it can be easily patched or replaced).Steering box oil needs to be changed and adjusted. One of the pop up headlights does raise and lower on its own (I raise it manually). That can be fixed with a simple replacement motor (available on ebay last I checked). That’s it...aside from these issues the car is otherwise perfect. And exceptional for 3o year old vehicle. The book value of this vehicle (assuming the maintenance issues mentioned above are corrected) is approximately $3250.00. I would estimate that all of the necessary maintenance can be completed for a maximum of $500.00 (and much less if you are mechanically inclined to do the work yourself). I’m asking $2000.00 for the car, which is indeed more than fair for this car in its condition (if you see this car, you will agree). I am selling the car because I have other classics that I have collected, and I need to make room in my storage garage. That’s it...no surprises. I will not negotiate on the price (which is set as a “buy now”). My intent is to sell this car for an extremely fair price to the right person who perform the TLC indicated above, and will treat and enjoy it as much as I have. Please, do NOT choose the “Buy now” option if you do not intend to follow through and buy the car. Please ask questions before you choose the purchase option. You are welcome to come and inspect, start/run the engine. Thanks and good luck!
