I need to make room for Little Sister so Sally has to move on. This, the 50th Anniversary year of the introduction of America's pony car, seems a fitting time to offer this first model year example. I have owned her since 1994, and haven't put 2000 miles on her. Up-keep has been good, and she has been heated garage kept all these years. What she has: Rotisserie restoration 1992 (pics included) All numbers match 289 4-bbl V-8 Great interior Good chrome (some pitting on front bumper) Power conv top; fits well All electrical works Generator (unique to '64-1/2) re-built 1994 New battery New hoses Transmission re-built 2002 and re-sealed 2014 Radiator re-cored 2014 All new fluids/flush (including gas tank) 2014 Re-built 4-drum manual brakes manual steering Original Ford Rally-Pac on column (not an option for '64-1/2) GT rear valance (not an option for '64-1/2 but it looks cool!) NO RUST; dry trunk parts and papers, including the original "fruit jar" brake master cylinder What she needs: Tires!! Badly. new paint wouldn't hurt soon, new mufflers Personally, I believe this car would make a GREAT resto-mod. It would be difficult to bring her to concours restoration.
