for sale is my 1988 ford L8000 chipper truck. Single axle, ford diesel engine. It has a tall box which holds a lot of wood chips. Everything works. New clutch, about 400 miles on it. The fuel lines were recently replaced from the tank to the pump, about $900. It needs a windshield. I'll either put a new one in or I'll deduct $200 from the final total. It will also need new front brake shoes. I got out of the tree business last year and just looking to sell my equipment at a very reasonable price. (truck has a low reserve). The truck also has a very cool custom made from bumper to be used for roping large pieces safely. No Paypal! I don't trust them as they've tried to screw me over. Check, cash or money order. High bidder owns it. I've deal with Bozo's in the past that feel the high bid is just for looking. Not the case here. This truck is not a basket case, it's good to go. No shipping, pick up only. I'm also selling my chipper....a Conehead 510. and my Vermeer 1102 stump grinder.On Aug-08-14 at 18:08:33 PDT, seller added the following information: because of the number of calls asking if the truck could be driven long distances, I've had the front brake shoes replaced and had all three fuel filters replaced too....totaling about $650. It will still need a windshield to pass states that have inspections, so with the additional costs I've invested, the windshield will fall on the responsibility of the buyer. Also, the total height of the box is 8' and a total of 12' from the base. The box is 12' long and the weight registration of the truck is 26,000lbs and does not require a CDL to drive it. Thank you
