Vehicle Detail

1935 Packard Twelve Series 1208. This is the long (144") wheelbase, 7 passenger sedan. Car is all original, never restored. Not running, needs complete restoration. Surface rust on areas where paint peeled off. Body is very solid, with minimal rust issues. (See photos of right front door and running boards) Motor will not turn over. Serial No. 903152 473 cu in Twelve cylinder engine, 175 HP. The body is very straight, with minimal rust: trunk floor is bad, as well as parts of the running boards and a few small holes in the right front door. All can be easily patched. Trunk hinges are broken. All of the door panels are there and in good enough shape to use as templates. Same for the seats. All are still original fabric. All 4 tires are new and hold air. All of the wood is there, in good shape, and is definitely restorable. All of the glass is there, but some has bubbles and discoloration. I do not have a title; will be sold with Bill of Sale only. The car was in storage for several years ( I think close to 20) by the previous owner. He never got to restoring it. I have bought it to restore, since it is very solid and quite complete, including the interior, door panels for templates, seats, etc... Looks like most mechanical parts are there as well.. Unfortunately, medical issues are forcing me to sell. I have had it for 3 years and it has been stored under roof in our barn. I am not familiar with Packards, so am not 100% sure what is missing, so please refer to the photos. What you see is what you get. $500 deposit via PayPal. Balance by wire transfer. I have over 50 pictures, but ebay will not let me post more than 24, so if you are serious about this car, email me for more photos. Buyer is responsible for making all shipping arrangements. Please keep in mind that even though this Packard rolls quite nicely, it is a VERY heavy car. It will have to be winched onto the truck. On Aug-01-14 at 08:08:20 PDT, seller added the following information: We have received a number of requests for photos in the last 2 days, but most of them do not have email addresses to respond to, and Ebay allows only 5 additional photos to be sent thru this site. SO, if you want all 50+ pix, we need your correct email address. Thank you and good luck bidding. On Aug-04-14 at 09:26:23 PDT, seller added the following information: This weekend, while going thru our storage unit, we came across the original Taylor Co. of Chicago trunk for the Packard. It is in very good condition, with the stainless trim and locks (no keys) in good shape. The back side has quite a bit of rust (but no rust thru) from sitting sideways for some time. Rest of the trunk is very nice for its age. This trunk will be included with the car ONLY if the bidding reaches $11,000. Otherwise, we will list it separately on ebay at a later date. Photos available upon request.
