Vehicle Detail
This may be a long shot, but maybe someone out there can deal with a badly-rusted frame. The rest of the vehicle is fine: engine, transmission body, interior seating and appointments, good tires. Only 108k miles. This 'Luxury Utility Van' Gladiator conversion by Glaval featured the Fold-and-Tumble Rear Seat (they call it a 'sofa', but it's really a full-sized bench seat). It folds forward for extra cargo space, and can be removed for even more. The middle captain's chairs also come out, for a full-sized cargo van. The leather seats are in perfect condition (no tears); even the carpets are excellent, as they were always covered by rugs. The appointments feature a middle radio/CD player, and a VCR with a screen that drops down from the ceiling; it has interior 'mood lights', too, which the kids love. The 5.7 liter V-8 runs smoothly and uses no oil. The 4-speed transmission shifts easily. Everything works, except the AC, which has some leaks that need fixing (has rear heat and AC; leaks are probably in lines to rear). The body is in good shape, except for some rocker-panel rust, and the bumpers, which have rusted out. The exhaust system is excellent. The brake lines were replaced a year or so ago. The problem is that my mechanics tell me that the frame is badly rusted where the rear springs attach. They say it is not safe to drive on the highway. I've been using it around town; but we just bought a new vehicle, so it's time to part company with this faithful van. Asking $2,000. Will listen to offers. Still registered, so can drive it to a local buyer. Selling 'As Is, for Parts or Restoration'. Buyer must agree to sign a waiver indemnifying seller against any harm resulting from using this van as is, because of the rusted frame.
